The blue of the environment was blinding. One could scarcely see where the trees ended and the sky began, so pure and unbroken as it seemed. Varialis was fairly well camouflaged with all things considered. His jacket was brown and his hair was black, however the metallic chrome of his shield and breastplate gave his facade up fairly quickly. He wasn't here to hide, so it was time to make some noise. He planted his shield on his back and crouched himself lower to the ground.

In a flash he took off, running almost on all fours with his ears flattened against his head. He jumped over trees, branches and other flora that called the forest bed their home. He climbed, swung, and slid through it all like the land belonged to him and him alone, and barely took notice when the rain began to fall. He was hunting, and he would have his prey.

  Grimm: Boarbatusk
    ►#: 3
    ►Lvl: 1
    ►HP: 65/55/75
    ►DEF/RES: 2 (10 damage resistance)

-------------------------------------------------------
    Summary
- Roamed around together as a Pack/Herd while one occasionally picked at the corpse of a dead Animal.
-------------------------------------------------------

Within the forest of blue hue known as Finnek, a herd of Boarbatusk roamed about together, just having finished up a Hunt of their own. There was a corpse near by, but not one that belonged to a Human being. It seemed like that of an animal, something with four legs, somewhat of a decent sized neck, and antlers on it's head. One would be able to connect the flesh to that of an deer like animal. They seemed quite aimless at the time, moving about in some random way, but all the while keeping quite close to each other. One of the Boarbatusk lll moved back towards the mostly devoured corpse of the animal and began picking at the tiny bits that haven't been plucked from the bones already. They had not picked up on any form of threat from a distance so their behaviour was not one that would shift immediately, not being aware of the fact that they were being hunted. A while past by them, with them having not change up in their behavioral patterns.

Varialis could see through the trees, something that wasn't meant to be there, despite the rain fall. He slid into a nearby patch of brush to size up the situation, but only for a moment. He wasn't exactly being sneaky, but these Grimm were not really being vigilant either. '3 Boarbatusk, and they seem to be unaware. Not a tough fight, but sheer numbers could prove dangerous.' The green-eyed faunus had a plan of attack for now, and crouch once more readying his shield. He pressed it against his shoulder before lunging from the brush in a dead sprint directed straight at the Boarbatusk near the corpse. The rain fell beside him, and made it easy to lose footing but he managed to stay upright somehow. He hadn't forgotten that he was outnumbered but hoped to gain the high ground early. He growled deep in his throat as he barreled toward his target like a steam train.

Potential Damage: 50 [If struck in general]/ 40 [If struck on armor]

Summary
- Boarbatusk II was launched back by Varialis Charge attack. Boarbatusk I and III Charged for him soon after.

► 40 Recieved from Varialis (W.B Doubles Def)
► 5 Dealt by Boarbatusk I *If Connects*
► 5 Dealt by Boarbatusk III *If Connects*

The Boarbatusks was not aware of the Hunter's presence, and so it continued to eat from the corpse...that was until Footsteps could be heard by all the Boarbatusks from the now charging Hunter. The noise alone would pull the attention of all three, and in that moment of turning towards the charging Hunter, the shield would make contact with the front of its face, colliding with the Bonemask that encased a good portion of it's head. The force was quite great, too much for the Boarbatusk that fell victim to the preemptive attack, being launched backwards without any ability to halt it. The damage was reduced a decent amount due to the bonemask, but it was still quite a bit of damage that when it finally came to a halt, it struggled a little to maintain it's footing. The other Boarbatusks, now being aware of their enemy charged for him immediately. Once the one that got hit steadied itself, it locked onto the shielded Hunter though not charging in immediately like the other two.

Varialis knew how to handle this situation... even if it hurt. He planted his feet flat on the ground and took the charging Boarbatusks head on. As they both rammed him, he thanked his grandfather for his armor as he slid back a few feet. He still kept his footing despite the muddyy landscape they fought in. Wachter had done its job, and that meant it was Vorhuts turn. The rain was also getting a bit heavy now, and he was forced to push his hair out of his eyes to allow sight on his opponents. Varialis soon took a large stride forward and let out a pair of shield punches aimed at both of the assaulting grimm. He had not forgotten about the one left however, as he knew that his first attack likely injured the beast a fair deal, and that it may try to run if the battle appears to be turning in a less than favorable direction. He couldn't let that happen, but he had to wait for now, as his CQC with the other 2 could make it difficult to disengage

----------------------------------------
Summary: Varialis allowed himself to be hit by both of the grimm to counter-attack them with one strike each.

If the Boarbatusk possessed a decent level of intelligence, then it would have came down to the conclusion that they were actually outmatched in power, that their prey was in fact the hunter, and the best option would be to retreat. This wasn't the case though, After bashing into Varialis, the Boarbatusk would find themselves thrust back in a similar manner to the first due to the Shield Bash. It wasn't followed up with a Charge this time, but the power behind it seemed all the same. The second Boarbatusk just remained there for a moment as the other two landed near it, with it being in the middle and the only one standing. It didn't charge immediately, but once the other Two Boarbatusk got to their feet, they shot forwards once again, with the one in the middle following right behind them in the middle. All three of them was making their way towards the Hunter in what would appear like some kind of formation.

Varialis was struck by their charge and knocked backwards a ways but remained standing fairly easily. The worst thing about it was that he was a bit winded by the hit, not to mention angry. He exhaled as his eyes briefly flashed red as well as a growl escaping his lips. "Just wanna make me mad now don't ya?" He started running back toward them now. He didn't sprint right at the beginning, but rather allowed for his own momentum to allow him to build up speed without tiring himself out too much. The mud also stuck to his shoes and slogged him back a bit, but he was still decently fast. He breathed hard as he whispered something between his breaths. "Now make like good prey and die for me..." He spun himself around the second that he was within striking range, swinging his shield in a sweeping backhand strike, intending to follow through and hit them all.

----------------------------------------
Summary: Varialis was sent sliding away by a charge attack that he was unable to dodge and allowed his anger through. He then returned their charge and attempts to hit all of them with a single attack.

The power of a joint attack was never something to be messed with, and though the effort in it paid off to a degree, the distance in power was far too great for what they were facing. They were all now aligned with each other at the point of impact, keeping their eyes on the target believing that the tables had turned in their favor. There was an occasional snort from the Boarbatusks but they remained ready to continue the battle with no idea that it was about to end. These dark beings, not truly grasping the emotions that humans had, was able to pick up on something that they recognized before, a feeling that would overtake them in that instant and hinder their movement. Human beings would relate this to Fear, while for the Grimm it was something else but produced the same result. This all from the red glow of their Preys eyes, making them realize that from the start to the very end, they were the prey the entire time. Everything would become white as the deathblow was struck, A sharp Pain shot through the entirety of one of the Boarbatusk starting from the side as the shield came across, hit the first Boarbatusk, and lifted it to the side carrying it into the other Boarbatusk, and repeating the same thing to the third one, sending all three of them flying off to the side together, hitting a tree and causing that one tree to collapse. All three remained on the ground now lifeless, defeated by the Hunter Varialis.

There was a brief requiem of thunder and a choral cacophony from the wind and rain before it slowly started to subside. The storm drew to a close and their were but a few lonely sounds left in the air. Heavy breathing, the creaking of the newly felled tree, and the thump of Varialis sitting down on the ground to regain his faculties. The fight wasn't really all that intense, one sided to be honest, but being the purist he is, Varialis gave 100% and was just a bit winded from the experience. He then did a brief fistpump into the air. "Whoo! One hunt, 3 kills, and hardly a scratch on me. Productive first time." He spoke for his own benefit as the glee of victory overtook him.

He was left with one thought however. 'Boarbatusk are dumb and all, but they didn't even try to dodge a blow that spelled doom... I wonder why they just stood there.' His self-inquiry was promptly interrupted as he remembered something that he wanted to do. He skittered his way over to the dead Boarbatusk and pulled out his scroll. He positioned himself between one of his quarry and the scroll and smiled in his usual toothy manner and threw up a peace sign for good measure as he snapped a photo. The faunus stood up and nodded approvingly at the photo. "3 of these scum dead and a nice picture to match. This is gonna be a fun memory, and one of many." As he finished his statement, he pocketed the scroll and strolled back into the woods, hoping that he could find his way back to the school to report his mission completed.
